Abstract
|
|
|
The fine structures of lymphatic capillaries in the thyroid glands of rats were observed by electron microscope.
The lymphatic capillaries of the thyroid glands are found in the connective tissue between the follicles. The lymphatic endothelial cells have all known morphological characteristics of these vessels. The related structures for absorption of connective tissue fluid and large molecules are the absence of the basement membrane, many vesicles and the open intercellular junction with gap.
